Think Digital had the opportunity to showcase innovation in agriculture at evokeAG 2020 in Melbourne as an education exhibitor, sharing our immersive virtual reality experiences TractorVR & FarmVR with delegates and event-goers.
evokeAG, which is the largest agrifood tech event in the Asia Pacific region and organised by AgriFutures Australia, provides a platform for people to connect and collaborate, and showcase the innovation and creativity across the agricultural sector.
Centred around food, farm, future, the program featured thought-provoking conversations, interactive sessions and networking opportunities.
These themes are at the core of our business; Think Digital has been built around the idea of using futuristic technology to innovatively give life to stories in farming, food and fibre, and everything else in-between.
Along with FarmVR, and AR wearables, we had the opportunity to showcase our prototype virtual reality tractor simulator TractorVR, which was undoubtedly a crowd favourite with delegates. Check out 360° footage below captured over the two-day event! Click and drag to look around.
Many event-goers had seen or heard of VR and AR in action but hadn’t yet experienced it for themselves. We were fortunate enough to witness the wonder and inspiration that our immersive experiences sparked for both first-time and repeat users of this technology.
People were abuzz with ideas and suggestions for how extended reality could be utilised within their own organisation –whether it be for training, education, or simply showcasing capabilities, the possibilities really are endless.
The popularity and success of evokeAG highlights that the Australian agricultural sector is hungry for innovation, which is, now more than ever, vital to keep businesses operating and connected with an increasingly tech-savvy audience. As a nation, we have the technology and the expertise to lead innovation and development in agriculture globally –now it’s up to us to make it happen.
